Diamond Rings Still Make The Perfect Gift Even After Mother’s Day

Whether you are buying a diamond ring for your mother, your girlfriend, your wife, or your daughter, there is no reason the giving of such a gift should be tied to any specific occasion or event. In fact, some of the most thoughtful gifts are the ones that are given ‘just because’. While some women in your closest circle may expect diamonds on particular dates, such as Valentine’s Day or an anniversary, surprising them with a diamond ring outside of the normal gift giving periods can be even more magical.

If you’re buying a diamond ring for your daughter, her sixteenth birthday or graduation is the typical time associated with the gift. What if you used the fact that she obtained her driver’s license as a non-traditional time to present her with a diamond ring. Have it hanging from a ribbon on the rear view mirror when she gets in the car to drive for the first time. You may want to hold off on the first drive though until she has had time to compose herself.

If you’re buying a ring for your wife and have kids, give her the ring on Father’s Day. This may not make a while lot of sense but you can tell her that having her in your life helps to make you a better father and husband so you feel the day should be just as important to her as it is to you.

For a girlfriend, take a visit to the first restaurant you ate out, the first park you met at, or any other special place you both share. While the specific date need not be important, pick a location that is meaningful. This will not only show her that you remember how special the place is to you, but also that presenting her a diamond ring at that place will make it all the more treasures later on in life.
