Repurposing Diamond Earrings

Everyone typically has at least one pair of diamond earrings sitting in their jewellery boxes that they just never seem to have the desire to wear.  This is often the case when we buy diamond earrings that exemplify the cutting edge of modern jewellery design that unfortunately are out of style in a matter of months.  This can also happen with broken diamond earrings that we just never found the time to take down to the local jewellers to have repaired, possibly since their style is also outdated.  There is a solution that not only allows you to take full advantage of the raw materials contained in your old diamond earrings, while also giving you the chance to create a brand new pieces fo jewellery from the old diamond earrings.

Solitaire diamond earrings are extremely versatile when it comes to re-purposing.  If you have a daughter, why not consider having a small ring and pendant made for her from the two diamond earrings.  If she’s older, the two stones might make beautiful accent pieces for her engagement ring.  If you’re looking to keep them for yourself, use the diamond earrings to create a ring and pendant of your own.  You can even opt for a three stone ring by adding a centre stone to the mix and using the diamond earrings as the shoulder stones.  If you want something a little more extravagant, use the two diamond earrings to provide the first two stones that could go towards creating a new eternity ring.

If you’re not interested in paying for a lot of custom jewellery work when re-purposing your old diamond earrings, simply consider a pair of diamond jackets for your diamond earrings.  The doughnut looking accents slip onto the back of your old solitaire diamond earrings to create a halo effect of either diamond accent stone, ornate precious metal work, or a combination of both.  Jackets for diamond earrings are typically the most affordable way to spice up that old pair of diamond earrings to make them new and fresh again, guaranteeing they will be the first thing you reach for when looking for a pair of diamond earrings to wear.
