Hot Trends In Men’s Wedding Rings

While most people tend to focus on the female aspect of bridal jewellery, men have just as much fashion stake in the wedding rings portion of the set as the ladies do.  In fact, given that the only piece of bridal jewellery the men have to wear are their wedding rings, they don’t have the luxury of having their wedding rings offset by another piece of jewellery, such as an engagement ring or eternity ring.  There are, thankfully a number of hot trends for men’s wedding rings this year that give them the perfect sense of style and flair while still remaining masculine enough to be in fashion.

One of the hottest trends in men’s wedding rings is anything but the ordinary.  Traditional men’s wedding rings were flat bands made from yellow gold.  Contemporary men’s wedding rings are anything but traditional.  With a wide range of precious and alternative metals to choose from, it’s no wonder more and more men have asked to be involved in the wedding rings selection process.  Coupled with various metal finishes, accent stones, and etched designs, this year, men’s wedding rings come in the widest variety the market has ever seen.

Another popular style choice for men’s wedding rings is the inclusion of diamond accents.  No longer are accent stones reserved for women’s wedding rings, as men’s selections have begun to show that same hint of dazzle to get them noticed.  Typically cut in geometric shapes for a more masculine feel, with princess cut stones being the most popular, diamond accents in men’s wedding rings are meant to give the wedding rings that slightly modern edge that most men are looking for.

When it comes to both men’s and women’s wedding rings, ergonomics has always been an matter of concern.  With the flat design used so often for traditional wedding rings, they tended to pinch the skin on the finger if moved ever so slightly in the wrong way.  Wedding rings designers are now opting for curved edges on the wedding rings to allow for a greater comfort level.  The rounded edges also help ease the effort of taking the weddings rings off and putting them back on as needed for cleaning, maintenance, or other reasons.
