Are Eternity Rings Becoming The New All In One Rings?

Tradition states that a woman should receive a petite promise ring once her significant other is ready to commit to the fact that he is taking the relationship seriously, a solitaire engagement ring when he is ready to propose marriage, a plain gold wedding ring on the day of the wedding, eternity rings when they have a child, and one of may styles of anniversary rings, including eternity rings and three stone rings, when certain milestones are reached.  Tradition, however, seems to be slowly fading as eternity rings are quickly becoming a one stop shop for all your bridal jewellery needs.

By following the rules, a woman is given a lavish engagement ring when she is proposed to, followed by a typically less than lavish wedding ring on the day she actually marries.  New trends state that there really is no use for multiple rings with such diverse levels of elegance and eternity rings are the likely candidate to replace both.

Many women are not comfortable wearing two rings for the simple fact that they can often be cumbersome and uncomfortable.  Eternity rings, on the other hand, offer the comfort of a single ring, the band design of a wedding ring, and the sparkle of an engagement ring, all in one design.  Comfortable eternity rings also decrease the likelihood of taking the eternity rings off to give your finger a rest.  The less you need to take you eternity rings off, the lower the chances of the eternity rings getting lost or misplaced.

Eternity rings also offer an extremely elegant and sophisticated appeal, relying on the sparkle of multiple small diamonds set in the eternity rings instead of a single stone that many people may find distracting, particularly in the workplace where eternity rings are much preferred over multiple piece bridal jewellery sets.  Eternity rings have clean lines and balanced visual appeal, making them very pleasing to the eye while also remaining classy and refined in appearance.  The often flush surface of eternity rings also minimizes the risk of catching the eternity rings on clothing or other items, often a factor when wearing non eternity rings with active lifestyles.
