The saying ‘Tinsel-Town’ certainly took on a new meaning recently when Jennifer Lopez’s husband, Marc Anthony, bought her a pair of diamond earrings costing $2.6 million to thank her for giving birth to their twins. According to a report in the Mirror, Hollywood sex symbol, Jennifer Lopez, was recently on the receiving end of a rather lavish gift in the form of a pair of diamond earrings which set back her singer/actor husband, Marc Anthony, a not unsubstantial $2.6 million. The A-list celebrity received the pricey pair of diamond earrings from her husband as a gift to show his gratitude for her having given birth to their new born twins.

Whilst it is common knowledge that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, Jennifer Lopez’s husband, Marc Anthony, certainly went that extra mile when it came to gifting his wife a pair of diamond earrings. According to the report in the Mirror, the singer/actor wasn’t content with splashing out $2.6 million on the diamond earrings but also had the each earring engrave with the initials of their newborn twins, Max and Emme.

Marc Anthony’s choice of diamond earrings for his wife, Jennifer Lopez, was largely dictated by the Latino singer’s rather expensive tastes. Speaking to the Mirror, a friend of the couple states, “It’s no secret that J-Lo has expensive taste, so Marc was going to have to spend a serious amount to show her how he feels.” The singer/actor was spotted in a New York jeweller personally checking the diamond earrings which were sourced from South Africa and boasted a near flawless exterior which, given the $2.6 million price-tag, is probably to be expected. Diamond earrings are very popular amongst Hollywood A-listers and hip-hop stars across the United States but few will have spent so lavishly on the jewellery that adorns their ears.
