Unique Places to Hide an Enagagement Ring

If you want to propose but don’t know where to hide the ring we can help!

We know that nowadays, the traditional ring box that most people receive isn’t the most practical way to surprise your partner with an engagement ring, so here are some alternative ways of hiding the ring so that you can really catch them off guard!

Hide it in a prop

Proposing with props is becoming increasingly popular, so why not incorporate the ring using props?

For example, proposing with food is original and fun. Why not hide the ring in a cake? You don’t have to worry about taking the ring into the location or even your hands shaking as your reach for it inside your pocket… just make sure they don’t accidentally eat it!

Hide it somewhere else at the proposal location

Man Proposing

If you don’t like the idea of hiding the ring in a cake or something similar for your partner to find, or if you plan on popping the question in a private location, you can hide the ring right there.

This way, you don’t have to worry about giving the game away on your way there, or even the ring box even being discovered by your other half!

Then you can lead up to the big question without too much stress. However, we do recommend making sure the proposal location is secure before you leave, or that you leave it in the care of someone you really, really trust.

Have someone bring it to you

Again, this is a scenario in which you must really trust this person! A friend of family member can be on hand to give it to you right before you pop the question, so that you don’t have to worry about getting caught out during the lead up to the big moment!

The Credit Card Box

This is a genius way of hiding a ring. Did you know that you can actually get a ring box that is the size of a credit card? It’s a brilliant solution because you can put it in your pocket and no one would no the difference!

If worse comes to worst…

We don’t really recommend this, but this is something you might consider as a last resort if having the box in your pocket does look really terrible… keeping the ring in your pocket without a box!

There’s the chance that it may well fall out or even get damaged by this, so we urge you to consider something else before this!
