In Niger, if a young man is interested in a girl, he will sneak up to the home which she shares with her parents and tickle her ear. If they are successful in enticing them, they will wed. Before the ceremony (which will take place during a full moon), a goat is sacrificed to purify the site and the bride has her face decorated with pale red crosses and pastel-colored dots on her cheeks. After the wedding, a camel will be made to dance for the guests along to a drum beat.
