NAJ Awards 2019 – We are Winners!
Last week, Team PD attending the British Jewellery and Giftware Federation Benevolent Society Ball which incorporates the National Association of Jewellers‘ (NAJ) annual awards ceremony which celebrates the UK jewellery industry.
Sponsored by Nivoda, the awards were presented by Chief Executive of the NAJ, Simon Forrester and NAJ Chair, Harriet Kelsall,who announced this year’s 11 categories – of which Purely Diamonds was shortlisted for a magnificent 4.
Amongst entertainment of bagpipes, a festive meal and a wandering singer serenading guests, we’re honoured to say that we won two of the awards on offer!

Tracey has worked in the jewellery industry for over 30 years leading by example in all that she does. Following a career in Italy that saw her presenting a weekly television show about all things diamond and jewellery, she joined Purely Diamonds this year to single-handedly open and run our Manchester showroom.
As a highly dynamic individual she brings her vast experience and excellent communications skills to the company with professionalism every day. As a gemologist, her knowledge exceeds all expectations and she surpasses all targets for the Manchester showroom.
From her first day with us, Tracey has become part of the Purely Diamonds family and we are so proud of this incredible achievement.

As an independent fine jewellery retailer, the heritage of Purely Diamonds has always allowed us to stand out amongst our competitors. Beginning over 40 years ago as a jewellery manufacturer for brands such as Goldsmiths, DeBeers, Beaverbrooks and Ernest Jones, today we are a direct to consumer retailer that is run by the two daughters of our company founder and Creative Director. This history offers a personal touch that has high quality jewellery production at its foundations. Our family run legacy is at the forefront of all they do, and something we are very proud of.
To be recognised by our industry peers as Retailer of the Year is such an honour and we are so grateful to have been chosen from a category of such wonderful jewellery brands.
