How to Measure Ring Size: Ring Size Chart

We offer everyone your first resize for free within 60 days of the receipt of your order.

When shopping for a diamond ring one of the important factors to consider is ring size. We know it’s not always easy to guess the ring size – especially when things like engagement rings are surprises, but we have some hints and tips to help you get it right.

Don’t worry however, if you do purchase the wrong ring size, we’ll give you a free resize within 60 days of receiving your item. Or in the future, if you finger size changes, we can amend your ring for a fee of £60.

Do you have a ring you can measure?

Measure the Ring

1.     Using a pen or pencil, draw a circle around the inside diameter of the ring.

2.     With a rule or measuring device, carefully measure the width (diameter) of the circle.

3.     Check our Ring Size Chart to convert the millimetre size into a UK, US or other ring size.

Use Our Online Tool

1.     You’ll need a credit or debit card (or something of a similar size to get started).

2.     Use the tool to measure the size of your card in order to get the scale of your screen correct.

3.     With the ring you have, hold it against the screen to find the matching size from the list provided.

Hints & Tips

  • Make sure you measure the INSIDE of the ring as the outer edge will give you an incorrect size.
  • Be as precise as you can with the millimetre measurements/ring alignment to get a more accurate size.
  • Ensure the ring you’re measuring is worn on the correct finger. If the ring measured is worn on the middle finger, we suggest two sizes smaller for the ring finger.

Unable to get a ring to measure?

Sometimes it’s impossible to find out the size if the intended wearer has no jewellery or if discretion is key. If this is the case, we offer the opportunity to choose ‘Not Sure’ as an option based on the assumption of a Small, Average, or Large selection.

Selecting a “Not Sure” finger size:

Small

If you think the wearer has small sized hands, we produce our Small size to approximately J/K.

Average

If you think the wearer has average sized hands, our Average size is approximately M/N.

Large

If you think the wearer has larger sized hands, we produce our Large size to approximately P/Q.

Our ‘Not Sure’ fingers sizes are based on known industry averages and are provided so that for the purpose of proposing or gifting, that the ring should go on the finger. They are approximate sizes and likely to need resizing.

Is the ring for you or can you measure the recipient?

The most accurate way of getting a finger size would be to have a jewellery professional check your finger size. Why not book into our London or Manchester showrooms and one of our team will be happy to help.

Alternatively, you can visit any local jewellery store, as sizes are universal and they’ll be able to help you.

If visiting a jewellery store is not an option for you, then order one of our ring sizers for free via our online request page.

Resizing is straightforward and your ring will be returned within 3-5 working days unless it has to be remade due to the size change.

Each ring undergoes the strictest quality control checks and the quality of your ring will not be affected because of the re-sizing process.

If you’re going to return something for resize, please read our Resizing page as you are required to fill in the appropriate form.
