PLEASE NOTE
We only offer resizing for rings made by Purely Diamonds.
Resizing typically takes 5-10 working days. If you have a specific deadline, do let us know.
If your ring isn’t the perfect fit, we’re here to help. Simply print off our Ring Resize Request Form and send it back with your ring. The form includes our address, instructions on secure posting, and everything else you need to arrange a resize.
Please do not include your valuation document or diamond certificate – we only require the ring, the form, and if possible the original or another secure ring box.
Please note: once an item has been delivered and then resized, it can no longer be returned for a refund.
We will happily resize your ring at any time – whether it’s just after purchase or many years later.
Please return your item via Royal Mail Special Delivery to:

Most resizes are completed within 5–10 working days. Timescales may vary depending on the ring and the amount of work required.
Your first resize is free within 60 days of purchase. After this period, resizing costs £95.00 per ring. If the new size falls outside our standard range (larger than Size S), an additional charge may apply for the extra metal or diamonds/gemstones required. We will confirm this when you return your ring.
This cost includes postage back to you by Special Delivery. You will need to cover the cost of sending the ring to us using Royal Mail Special Delivery or another tracked and insured courier.
Debit or credit card – we’ll email you a secure payment link.
Yes – resizing a ring removes any engraving. If you would like the engraving re-applied, please request this on the resizing form. There is an additional charge of £20.00 for re-engraving.
No – your ring will be returned to you in perfect condition. Resizing is a common process and does not damage your jewellery.
For significant size changes, we may need to remake your ring, which usually takes around 2 weeks. Full eternity rings cannot usually be resized and will instead be remade within 2–3 weeks.
Diamonds can occasionally loosen during the resizing process, but every stone will be checked and tightened before your ring is returned.
To make a ring larger, it can sometimes be carefully stretched to the new size. For bigger changes, extra metal may be added to ensure a seamless finish. To make a ring smaller, the band is cut, reshaped, and then expertly re-joined and polished so the sizing is invisible.
These are routine procedures carried out with the greatest care to preserve the quality and finish of your ring.
IMPORTANT: SENDING YOUR RING BACK
Always return your ring using Royal Mail Special Delivery or a similar tracked and insured courier. The parcel must be insured for the price you paid for your ring, not the higher amount shown on your valuation document.
For example, if you paid £800, insure it for £800. Royal Mail offers insurance up to £500, £1,000, or £2,500. If your ring cost more than £2,500, please insure it for the maximum. We provide additional insurance up to £2,500, giving you total coverage up to £5,000. For items over £5,000, please call or email us to discuss your options.
Please see our Terms & Conditions before sending us any items.
