Metal Finishes

Our standard finish, polished metal has a brilliant mirror-like surface achieved through careful polishing. It is applied to both the inside and outside of a ring, creating a bright reflective shine.

In 18ct white gold, a final layer of rhodium is added after polishing to give its crisp white appearance. Like all precious metals, polished finishes will pick up fine scratches over time, softening the surface. Our professional polishing service can restore your ring to its original lustre whenever needed.

We offer two types of matte finish: satin and brushed. Both create a smooth, non-reflective look that softens the appearance of the metal.

The brushed effect is produced with fine strokes across the surface, giving a subtle lined texture. For contrast, we often recommend keeping the inside of the ring polished.

Matte finishes will naturally mark more easily than polished metal, but the finish can be reapplied to bring it back to its original look.

A sandblasted finish creates a heavily textured surface with a distinctive grainy appearance. Achieved by blasting the metal with fine particles, it scatters light in much the same way as a metal nail file, giving a unique, understated effect.

This finish pairs beautifully with polished or matte details to create contrast within a design. Like all surface treatments, sandblasted textures will wear over time, but the finish can be reapplied as part of our polishing service.
